Things to Click

The Guy With the Horn (new song!)

We haven't been dead for the past month, we've been working on a few videos that took longer than expected. And I can reuse that phrase from our twitter since almost nobody follows us. Whatever. Someday.

Onto the good stuff: We have a video! And it's a song! And, not to blow things out of proportion, but we think it's pretty awesome. So without any more text that you're skimming over to click the video as we speak (type? Yeah, type, I guess), here's what you're looking for:

It's called The Guy With the Horn, and by now I'm just getting used to coming up with a weird or crazy character for a video and sticking Vineet to it before talking with anyone else about it. He's so great at playing odd and pathetic roles that I feel like my 3-ish shots in the video are letdowns. But that's why I make the music and stuff.

So...the point is, even though we're not doing videos EVERY SINGLE WEEK (like we tried to pull off last year), the videos that we do come out with will be even better because we're not rushing. You're welcome.

But seriously, thanks for watching!

While You Were Out: Jake's Bad Habits Edition

Yeah, so I never really post on here, since I'm so busy doing things like eating syrup-spaghetti and guavas, but just to make the $10 a year for this site worth it, here's a recap of Januaray-March 2013, in the world of LimitedTracks:

3 Dudes With Noses:
Starting the new year off right, Jake, Jason and Vineet...do this.

Michael Returns:
Then, we went all reality-TV and brought last season (school year)'s characters back for a day. Michael made his way to our school after one of his exams, just to ride our bus one last time.

The Fake Girlfriend Song:
Pretty soon after that, the whole Manti Te'o thing blew up. I'm still not really sure what went on with that whole thing, but it didn't stop me from making this on a snow day off:

Harbaugh Family Dinner:
Which would be worse though--having a non-existent girlfriend or a brother beat you in the Super Bowl? Jim votes for the brother thing.

We Answer Your Questions:
People asked us questions. We answered them. It was all pretty cool.

The Elf Challenge:
Back in December, Jake & Friends got enough likes (with the bar placed stupidly low) on Instagram to have to eat that disgusting spaghetti thing form Elf.

Sh*t People Instagram:
And then speaking of Instagram, we noticed some patterns.

The Guava Song:
After we made a mistake and ate some, we wrote a song about how godawful guavas are.

The Flatliner Challenge:
For some reason, Austin couldn't get enough of horrifying food...so he took on the spiciest wings ever, at least in our area.

Anyways. There's some insanely awesome stuff coming in 2013, but it's taking a little longer to make than usual...because of all the awesomeness. So stay tuned...or subscribed...or whatever it is now.

Some Cool Stuff Happened

I was going to make a video celebrating some of these things, but then more just kept happening, and I couldn't keep up. And that's good. Keep the views coming (share us around ;) and you'll never see a video about all this awesome stuff:

The MTN Dew Love Song hit 1000 views (1100 by now, actually):
That's just our second video to get past 3-digit numbers. So thanks for that. Now, look at this:

MAY 5th 2011 --> SEPTEMBER 5th 2012 (16 months): 10,266 views

SEBTEMBER 5th 2012 --> FEBRUARY 18th 2013 (a little under 6 months): 7,186 views

So, we've almost doubled our total views in only 37% of the time it took to get 10K in the first place. It probably has something to do with the fact that for those first 16 months we only had about 60 videos and now we have something like 85, but there's no way we'd have any views if it wasn't for:

1. Our moms
2. You guys

I'm pretty sure you guys are the reason for the 17,769 views we've gotten, while at the same time having lives at school/playing sports/watching sports/eating food. 18K views isn't a whole lot when you look at other people on YouTube, but when you look at three-to-seven (depending on the day) 8th graders having fun, that's awesome. Thanks!

And oh yeah, from Friday night to Saturday night two weeks ago, we had our highest 24-hour view total EVER. Cool.
